OEM Embedded Analytics Engine

Overview

The OEM Embedded Analytics Engine provides building automation and equipment manufacturers with a standardized analytics engine that can be embedded directly into OEM platforms and offerings. The engine delivers high‑fidelity benchmarking, verification, and performance intelligence while preserving native data models, control semantics, and system architectures.

The engine is licensed for embedding and monetization by OEMs, enabling performance‑based offerings without requiring changes to existing controls, workflows, or delivery models.

Analytics Built for OEM Integration

The OEM Embedded Analytics Engine is designed to operate as analytics infrastructure—not as a competing application or service layer. It integrates alongside existing OEM software stacks and leverages the same measurement framework used across the Pathian platform.

Key integration principles include:

  • No disruption to existing system architectures
  • No requirement to rename or standardize OEM data models
  • No interference with control logic or sequences

Measurement Framework

At the core of the engine is a GEES‑based measurement framework that combines mathematically derived Ideal Curves with continuously measured operational data. Ideal Curves define expected system performance under given physical constraints, while actual performance curves reflect real‑world operation.

The variance between Ideal and Actual performance quantifies efficiency, degradation, and improvement—independent of how strategies are implemented.

Function Generation and OEM Standards

The engine includes a function‑generation capability that allows OEMs to create derived performance metrics, reusable logic, and analytics constructs. OEMs can:

  • Generate OEM‑defined Ideal Curves
  • Publish performance standards tied to equipment models or control strategies
  • Chain functions to produce higher‑order analytics outputs

OEMs retain ownership of their standards, functions, and downstream monetization models.

Use Cases Enabled

The OEM Embedded Analytics Engine enables OEMs to:

  • Enhance installed‑base intelligence
  • Identify optimization and upgrade opportunities
  • Support performance‑based service offerings
  • Verify outcomes of controls or retrofit strategies
  • Align with utility incentive and regulatory programs

The engine provides measurement and verification; OEMs determine how insights are operationalized.

Deployment and Licensing

The engine is deployed as an embedded, licensed analytics component within OEM platforms. Licensing models support:

  • OEM‑controlled resale and bundling
  • Optional alignment with utility programs
  • Scalable deployment across installed bases

Pathian provides the analytics engine; OEMs retain customer relationships, delivery responsibility, and commercial control.

Role Clarity

OEMs:

  • Own customer relationships and delivery
  • Define standards, offerings, and monetization
  • Control how analytics outputs are used

Pathian:

  • Provides standardized analytics infrastructure
  • Maintains measurement consistency and accuracy
  • Enables verification across vendors and programs
